We took control of the city too! (We ran it for the last two years with the Lord Mayor's casting vote, but it is nice to have an outright majority!)

Congratulations! I saw you on TV with the big cheese himself.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad no one from the BNP got in, but I'm quite shocked that there are no Greens in Coventry. Mind you, green isn't a colour that immediately springs to mid when you think of Cov!
Ha!
ReplyDeleteHAve you seen this?

One of NUS's new campaign's is "Pro Choice and proud of it" I get the fact that in some limited circumstances women have a right to a legal abortion, but being proud of being pro abortion just sickens me.
Although abortion has never been the political party issue here that it has been in certain other former colonoys, the left has always, no doubt based on its anti-religious base (Marx: "Religion is the Opium of the People), been so called "pro-choice." The NUS being run by left, it is hardly surprising the are pushing this line. It is a shame that now they must feel it is neccessary to be proud of murdering the unborn.
